The number of COVID-19 cases has increased to 524,000 and now includes the names of various famous cinema, sports and political personalities. Actor Tom Hanks, singer Rita Wilson, wife of the Canadian Prime Minister Sophie Trudeau, and NBA player Ruby Gobert are four of the many cases to have been reported.

As an effort by governments to curb the spread of this virus, multiple events like the Met Gala, Coachella and the Facebook F8 Meet have been cancelled or postponed.
