It’s the 22nd of May,1992 in Caracas, Venezuela for what seemed like a perfect day for Juan de la Corte, an air traffic controller at Caracas airport. He was sitting at his desk monitoring the traffic and noticed a  mysterious dot appearing on the radar. At first Juan thought that it was an error, but he was wrong. After ten minutes, the plane had come into view, a DC-4 McDonnell Douglas passenger plane.

The plane then contacted air traffic control, “We are Pan Am flight 914 heading from New York to Miami, Florida, with a crew of four and fifty-seven passengers on board.” Juan was in a state of shock and was quick to ask the pilot more questions. One of those questions were “When were you scheduled to land?”. The pilot replied back, “Our flight was scheduled to land at Miami airport at 9:55am on July 2, 1955”. Upon hearing this Juan was baffled and was quick to clear the plane for landing and deploying the ground staff.

After its landing, Juan was able to relax and then asked a question to the pilot “Did you know that today is May 22, 1992?”. Juan immediately knew that it was a mistake because of the silence at the other end. When the ground staff was nearing the aircraft, it suddenly moved towards the landing strip and took off, never to be seen again.

Even today, the mystery behind this aircraft has not been solved. Some say that it's all lies, while others suggest that it was the work of “aliens”, but no one knows for sure.
